The CryoEM Center at Baylor College of Medicine develops technology for atomic resolution structure determination and modeling of molecular machines by electron cryo-microscopy, nanometer resolution structure determination of organelles and cells by electron cryo-tomography.

CryoEM Center's computing resources include:

  • Dual redundant database servers with ~140 terabytes of RAID 6 storage with dedicated 3rd off-site backup and dedicated gigabit network connections to the 10 gigabit campus backbone.
  • Wide range of Macs/PCs for desktop use (~40).
  • 4 Visualization workstations with 12 cores, multiple GPUs, 96 GB ram, Stereo capable
  • CIBR and other shared clusters
