University of Houston Texas Learning and Computation Center Houston, TX
This 1 1/2 day workshop will cover details of performing single particle reconstructions in EMAN. Some background on general reconstruction principles will be presented, but the attendees are expected to already have some background in microscopy and understand fundamental mathematical priciples such as Fourier transforms. The entire workshop will be held in the computer teaching lab at the TLC^2 facility at the University of Houston. There will be some lectures, but a majority of the workshop will be practical sessions designed to make the attendees more comfortable using EMAN. Some advanced topics will also be covered, time permitting.
